I already have the two novels separately but I still want this omnibus because of the extra background material in it and the short stories. I've managed to plough myself through the first Imperial Guard omnibus, Sons of Dorn, a bunch of SMB books (minus Helsreach which is also worth a reread), the first Blood Angels omnibus and Ghostmaker. Shadowhawk: What is the future for Rafen and his squad after the Second Blood Angels omnibus? Now, as the revelation of their betrayal It's less about all-out warfare (although, of course, the second half is still pretty brutal and bloody), and has a lot more strangeness and existential horror and threat. Okay, here's the second part in the Blood Angels Omnibus. Curse of the Necrarch: With this one it was difficult to get through the first half, in the second half it started to get better. Jim: Rafen's story is a long way from being over; I have many more tales to tell about him. But the Blood Angels have long kept their true nature hidden from the rest of the Imperium, and when the Warmaster hints that the key to their salvation may lie in the ruins of a conquered world, the sons of Sanguinius race to claim it. Ancient Blood: Put it down after 100 or so pages, is on the retry list as it was highly recommended. Having spent the whole afternoon reading Deus Sanguinius, I reckon I should review it before I forget anything. Blood Angels Second Omnibus by James Swallow.
